…short and sweet. Or should that be short and sweat? Just a one mile loop today, to help recover from the 20km I’ve run over the last three days.
If When I complete Janathon, I think I will have run more in one month than in the rest of my adult life put together.
I’m back to work tomorrow, having taken last week as holiday. That will be the real test. Can I put in a full day’s work and a run every day? I realise that most Janathoners had to ask that last week, so will be looking to your blogs for inspiration.

I prefer to run before work, it would be great if my work place had a shower because I would enjoy a lunchtime run occasionally.
Good luck for tomorrow, are you planning on running in the morning or after work?
Not sure yet. I’ll probably run home after work. That way time isn’t an issue, and as I run along a bus route, I can make it as long or as short as I like. 🙂
I have an hour long session at 7am with my trainer to look forward to, he meets me at my house. He said there would be some running tomorrow, but if it isn’t enough I will have to go out after work too…I guess. What about you?
I run after a, on average, 10 /11 hour shift as a trucker; blogging, for me, is the hard part but i’m getting a bit more ruthless with my time. Enjoy, and good luck!
Wish I could run home from work, distance not a problem but time would be and where would I put lap top? Running home sounds like a good plan for you, go for it and good wishes for first week of work plus janathon.
I definitely feel the comment about the work/run balance. I usually ‘fit in’ three or so runs midweek, but run every day? I am a ‘leaver’ too, so I am going to have to transform myself into a ‘putter’ by tomorrow morning!
It’s difficult, there’s no doubt about it, but I’m sure you’ll find a way. We started by running in the mornings but I think going straight after work might suit us better – depends on everyones circumstances though and you might find something different works best for you. Don’t forget the lunchtime run is an option if you have the time and changing facilities – good luck!
Thank you. I suspect I’ll be trying a number of options over the next 22 days.
Best wishes for your return to work tomorrow. It’s day 10 … double figures … a third of the way there (almost). You can do it! 🙂
Thank you all for your encouragement. 🙂
Hope the return to work goes well and you manage to fit everything in.
