After running five km twice yesterday, my feet felt very strongly that they didn’t want to walk run anywhere today. So I decided to try out a thirty minute beginner workout courtesy of Nike.
Modified burpees and press ups, lunges of various descriptions and a little bit of jumping conspired to remind me that I have the upper body strength of something with no upper body strength at all and the flexibility of a steel rod 😦
Maybe I’ll just stick to running.

Ah upper body workouts – forgotten what they are recently. Have you seen your piccy on the finsbury parkrun website – you look very calm and like a proper runner!
Whoo hoo burpees, lunges and pressups – a little less fun the next day!
Never a truer word! I couldn’t even sit down this morning, my legs ached so much. Am about to cycle home (running is out of the question!)
Ah yes, burpees – once the school champion – could manage the first two lines of the national anthem in a single breath.
