My Bedfont Lakes parkrun this morning completes my original goal for February, which was to do a parkrun every Saturday, keeping the chance of a 50 t-shirt by next Janathon alive.
Looking ahead to March, I have a couple of goals in mind, one running related and one not.
The running one is simple and achievable: run a parkrun every Saturday in March. It will probably get a little more complicated and include references to personal bests and sub 30 minute times, but they’re just frills.
The other one started as a fleeting thought, madder in its own way than Janathon. I’m not at all convinced that it’s doable, and I’m still trying to talk myself out of it. To succeed at it, I’ll have to change the habits of a lifetime, and manage something that I’ve tried and failed at more times than I care to mention. Watch this space.
