The decluttering may not be going very well (in fact this week has been more about recluttering, if I’m honest) but I’m still on track for a parkrun every Saturday in April.
Today I investigated Frimley Lodge. Unusually (perhaps uniquely) it has a 2.5km run as well as the usual 5km run, taking advantage of its two lap course. This means that runners who don’t feel quite ready for a 5km run can still join in the parkrun experience.
The two laps included a long stretch along the canal (with a very uneven canal bank that made the path disconcertingly narrow in places), stretches of woodland and a model steam railway (though no actual evidence of steam trains).
I’d bore you with my splits, but the woodland makes gps unreliable, so I don’t have any. My time was ok but not brilliant, which I shall put down to the heat rather than my lack of training. Fantasy, I know, but let me hold on to it for a little while longer.
Enjoy the sunshine.
Love the new banner picture of Pierrot!
me too! such a cutie!
I concur
Ooh me too. Good luck with recluttering/decluttering
Impressed with your continuing parkrun commitment. I’ll have to do one one day but none anywhere near me.
LOL yes the heat does make one much slower I find – not only is it just harder work, but everything looks so pretty you want to stop and look! Well done on another parkruin under your belt…have you contacted Guinness yet?
