Wow! One lap. Wide paths. Woodland. A perfect parkrun for lud-runners everywhere. Or at least those who are within spitting distance of Slough.
A word of warning though. Take shrapnel and plenty of it. The carpark is pay and display and the ticket machines only accept coins, don’t give change and reject one coin in three just because they can. If it weren’t for the kindness of strangers willing to swap coins, I’d still be there, feeding coins into the machine in a triumph of hope over experience. Like those people who get the “Seek Assistance” message at the ticket barriers yet persist in trying their Oyster cards three more times ‘just in case’.
Okay, I’m gonna stand at the highest point in my house and try spitting… if it reaches, I’ll give it a go next week!!! Sounds lovely… and I am one of those ‘seek assistance’ people… always worth another couple of go’s!! 🙂
Black park sounds lovely.
Parking machines — grrrrrr!
PS Do Lud-runners run the Ludnon marathon?
lol – if they don’t, they should!
well done for clocking up another parkrun! how many now?
18 parkruns, 17 venues. I’m definitely an addict.
