Last night, at fortnight flo’s beautifully tidy house, I happened to mention that before doing the Cambridge parkrun, I’d looked out a picture of tonyparkrunner from his blog and then used it to stalk the poor man at the parkrun (he and Sooozie were terribly sweet about the whole thing).
Quick as a flash, out came flo’s phone. “2011miles [David] does the Milton Keynes parkrun…I wonder if he’ll be there tomorrow?”.
Sure enough, when we got to the run (after a scrummy porridge with blueberry breakfast), there was David, quietly minding his own business. He didn’t stand a chance.
…
And after the run, he even came over to chat. Aren’t ‘athoners great?
(except for the weird, scary one in the turquoise).
Glad you had fun – David doesn’t seem too upset at being surrounded by 2 lovely lady runners!
you guys look great for someone who had just run a parkrun! well done 🙂
Excellent stalking. Lol. Who is the next target?
What a lovely photo, truly! Isn’t it great when we get to see that other online folks are actually real skin & bones? I just type-O’d “kin & bones” at first… I could’ve left it at that 🙂 Glad you all had fun!
Yay! Good for you guys. Ahh….. Warms your cockles doesn’t it?
Porridge and blueberries my favourite breakfast must check in to that Hotel soon!
Gah – wish we’d taken the pic before the run – look at my red face! Ah well, it was great fun and lovely to have you stay.
Yes Flo, in running terms I think the before is normally better than the after! As I found out last Thursday!
Nice pic all the same.
Well done on another parkrun and another ‘-athoner ‘met (stalked).
(I’m defo going to run Wormwood Scrubs next Saturday. if you are interested/it fits, I can pick you up from a tube -talk to you via emai)
