At 5.45pm this evening, I got out of my last meeting of the day.
“Go home”, said the voice of sloth. “The document you need to write for tomorrow’s 9.30am meeting will wait until tomorrow morning.”
“No”, whispered my willpower. “It won’t. So stay a while and write it now.”
At 6.45pm this evening, I finished the document I needed to write for tomorrow’s 9.30am meeting.
“Cycle home”, said the voice of sloth. “Skipping one run won’t hurt you.”
“No”, whispered my willpower. “I shan’t. I shall run, despite the dark and the hunger and the yearning to be home”.
And I did. And I concentrated on two of the drills from Saturday’s lesson. And I managed an average pace of 9:09 min/mile. Including two sub 9 min miles.
Score 2 for willpower.
Blimey fantastic pace that must have been an amazing course. Well done willpower
Well done willpower! And go you… The course sounds like it was good. We’re going to need more information!!
