It was Thunder Run this weekend, and on Saturday I ran an undulating 5km at 9am, a hot and hilly 10km at 3pm and a night-time 20km at 11pm. I am now sporting four injuries.
Injury #1
A beautiful bruise on my shoulder acquired when I shut the car boot without moving out of the way first.
Injury #2
A first degree burn on my thumb acquired when I misjudged the water flow from the camping kettle as I made a cup of tea.
Injury #3
An interesting oval chafing pattern acquired when I applied a blister plaster in a dark tent and forgot to take off the hard plastic cover.
Injury #4
A bruised kneecap acquired after a careless encounter with a motorway service-station coffee table.
Ooops.
…but apart from all that, did you have a good weekend? 🙂
Fantastic, thank you.
At least nothing running related! Well done 😀
I suspect the DOMS will kick in tomorrow.
Ouch ouch ouch and ouch! Nice to hear someone else is as clumsy as me I shut my face in the car door last year and sported a fat lip for weeks. Great you had a good time.
Ouch!
Hope there is no number 5!
So far, so good.
ouch! take it easy x
Hahaha I’m soo glad that (touch wood) I made it through the weekend injury free as normally im the clumsiest by far. You and Alma are my new BFs as you make me look not quite so bad!
Sorry. Terrible grammar in that last sentence – my brain has had a manic Monday…
Sounds like a regular weekend to me :-).
