This is a frankencat^.
Its skin was pieced together from the hides of a white cat, a ginger cat and a black cat.
I recognise the technique. I’ve been applying it to my training.
The original plan:
Thursday: 1/2 mile warm up plus 2 miles hill repeats plus 1/2 mile cool down
Friday: 4 miles easy
Saturday: 1 mile warm up plus fast parkrun plus 9 miles very easy.
Thursday: 4 miles easy
Friday: 6 miles very easy plus 2 miles hill repeats plus 5 miles bargaining*
Saturday: fast parkrun. Assuming that I can still move.
*For those of you unfamiliar with a bargaining pace, it goes something like this:
“Please may I stop?”
“If you still want to once you’ve run to that tree”
“I’ve run to the tree and I still want to stop”
“Fine, but why don’t you carry on until that bench?”
“Reached the bench, now can I stop?”
“Of course, but it’s a very uncomfortable looking bench, so instead why not run to that lamppost?”
