Last long run…plan C

My training plan called for a 3 hour run on new trails.  Inspired, I did some research and decided upon Bewl Water which offered a 13 mile circular run with scope for extra mini-loops and promised to be no more than undulating.

Then I checked the weather forecast.  Rain.  Heavy rain.  All day.  I wimped out and devised plan B.  Abbotstone Down off road cycle trail.  18 miles, reasonable profile and best of all rain free.

Then I looked at timings.  To have anything of the day left by the time I was home, I would have to set the alarm for stupid o’clock.  Again.  And so plan C was formed.  Richmond Park.  Not exactly new, but local, rain free and definitely no more than undulating.

Sorted.  An anticlockwise loop of the Tamsin trail, a loop of the Richmond parkrun course and a clockwise loop of the Tamsin trail came to almost exactly 3 hours and I can now look forward to my taper.

Richmond Park is a different run every time you run. Beautiful colors at the moment. Hope you didn’t have a run in with the deer. 🙂
