Killerton parkrun

Killerton parkrun (currently at an alternative venue in Ashclyst Forest) is gorgeous. Its flat* three-lap course winds through the trees, and the hard-packed stone path keeps your running shoes clean and your mind sharply focused.

It was, perhaps, a brave** choice in view of tomorrow’s half-marathon, but as I haven’t run in Devon before and I had the chance to catch up with Shazruns, I wasn’t about to resist.

So I have added a Devon parkrun to my collection, completed in the respectably sedate*** time of 32:31. Just behind Shaz.

*Devon flat. Which is to say hilly as a hilly thing in hilly land on hilly day.

**Did I mention that it’s flat*?

***I have only just got my breath back. Did I mention that the course is flat*?

Hehe Devon flat… To do that then get a PB is a pretty awesome ultra-runner-disguised-as-a-sedate-Saturday-morning-runner achievement!
