We drove there from Vancouver…
…stopping for (non-alcoholic) cocktails in Chilliwack.
…We admired the view from 3 mile beach…
…herded small children around Andy’s Animal Acres…
…went on a chauffeur-driven tour of some of the finest Naramata wineries…
…with a break for lunch at the Red Rooster Winery…
…followed by a little more wine tasting…
…and some jewellery shopping.
We threw in a little culture at the Nk’mip desert cultural centre…
…and after a couple of lazy recovery days in which cards may or may not have featured…
…we went to a couple more wineries for a little more sipping.
We walked past a giant peach…
…on our way to breakfast by the lake…
…which we followed up with ice-cream at Summerland Sweets.
What can I say? Visiting family is hell.
Oh lucky lucky you and look at that typical okanagan weather. I have a friend who has a summer place there one day I will go and see her there.
You must. And while you’re there, don’t forget to try the zip lining in Peachland 🙂
Omg that sounds just up my street.
Amazing what you can do in a week despite having a poorly foot.
🙂
the sacrifices you have to make to visit your family 😛
I know! It’s a hard, hard life.
How beautiful, next time we meet I want to hear all about it, I’d love to explore that area. Wine tasting – what’s not to love!
I want an ice cream like that now!!!! (thorw tantrum!) It looks so yummy!! Loving the pics! Have an amazing holiday!!
Great pictures and love that there’s a place called Chilliwack! 😉
WOW, now that’s a vacation (or “holiday” as you say?)! LOVE your cute selection of skirts & dresses btw. I need you here, to be my personal shopper for cute outfits. I’ve got the sportswear purchasing covered, ugh.
Beautiful pics, not good to see you on cructhes tho 😦
