I always choose my kit to suit the conditions*. Always*. No exceptions*. You’ll never catch me running on the road in trail shoes or on the trail in road shoes*. You’ll never catch me using a tatty old Evian bottle on a long run, as I wouldn’t dream of leaving the house without an all singing, all dancing, running-specific hydration pack*. And you’ll never, ever, ever catch me going off to power hike down and up a steep traily hill wearing a full length summer dress from Monsoon*.
That would never happen*.
