Eat, drink and be merry.

The instruction to “Eat, drink and be merry” was made for weekends like this.

Coffee in Sloane Square with a parkrun uber-tourist.  Cream tea in Chippenham with a rather lovely tweeter.  Supper in Cardiff with one of the most hospitable ‘athoners I’ve ever met (and the competition is fierce).  A parkrun in Pontypridd, followed by a five mile run down the Taff Trail to Taff’s Well with a (Facebook) friend of a friend who just happened to be going that way.  A veggie breakfast (at tea time) in Cowbridge.  An evening wedding reception at St Donat’s with more cousins, second cousins and second-cousins-once-removed than you can shake a stick at, and a morning-after-the-night-before barbecue near Caerphilly to feed us all up for our long journeys home.

I haven’t laughed so much in ages, and I may never need to eat again.
