But don’t worry – I’ll keep it brief.
I’ve spent the year collecting distances, and at Winter 100, I completed my set. I’ve run 5km (PB), 10km (PB), Half Marathon (PB), Marathon (PW), 50km, 50 miles (PB), my first 100km and my first 100 miles (at my second attempt).
It’s been a huge amount of fun, I’ve been reminded time and time again quite how lucky I am to have such amazing friends, and if I had to give it all back and just keep a single race, I’d keep Thames Path 85. It wasn’t the most fun, I came away from it without the bling and I pretty much destroyed my knees, but I have never dug deeper in my life. And failing at that made succeeding at Winter 100 feel even sweeter.
You’ve had a great year, my year didn’t go so well, http://www.fit4365.com/2014/12/2014-review/ but here’s looking forward to 2015.
Sjeesj, nice set of races and distances you’ve got there. Good luck topping that 😉
What an amazing achievement – will you be taking some rest time in 2015? (Asked completely tongue-in-cheek of course)
Wow. That’s all I can say. Wow. Happy New Year!
