A change of plan

“40 minutes easy pace”

It sounded so simple, fitting in a 40 minute run…

…but then I forgot my shoes.  There went the chance of a lunchtime run or the option of a run before driving home.

I could probably have shoehorned it in when I got home, but an hour to change, run, shower and then make it to my sports massage was a little bit too tight to be appealing, so I mentally swapped my plan around and decided to take tomorrow’s rest day today.

All of which would have left me a little bit short of a Janathon effort, but fortunately my sports massage therapist, an ex-Janathoner herself, augmented my session with a series of glute and core exercises.  Before finding every knotted muscle in my body.

Ouch!

Isn’t running supposed to improve your memory?(I forget where I read that). Having forgotten mine more times than I care to remember I now have an emergency pair in the car boot.
