Trial and error

Today was my first attempt to work a run into my commute and I opted to catch the tube as far as Tooting and run home from there.  It’s a route I’ve run and cycled in both directions on many occasions, so I wasn’t expecting any excitement at all…

…but then an attempt to find a cut-through I’d been shown the other week had me running through a random housing estate, tripping over an unidentified hazard and stepping over a low brick wall…

…and my usual short-cut across the local playing field turned out to be completely unlit…

…which made the run far more enjoyable than I’d expected.

Always good to have a bit of extra drama and excitement as long as you remain in one piece 😄
