Topping and tailing

Today’s experimental commute consisted of a 5 mile fartlek from work to the tube station, 40 minutes on the northern line getting chilly, and then a 2.5 mile pootle to a welcoming cup of tea and a freshly cooked meal.

Bliss.

Sounds slightly safer than the last one? Commutes are always a bit of a dog’s dinner in my experience – I spent years trying to perfect a run or cycle part of my last one. Looking back it was actually the variety of options I created in the process that were fun (and useful).
