Wimbledon parkrun

I had a plan.  Northala Fields parkrun followed by a walk along the Grand Union Canal to spot Country to Capital running ultra runners.  Then I looked at the weather forecast and decided that there was a significant risk that Northala Fields would fall victim to the ice which was causing parkruns to drop like flies, and I looked at my alarm clock and realised that I couldn’t face an early o’clock start, and I opted to stay at home.

At my home parkrun, that is.

So at 9 o’clock this morning, I toed the line at my 18th Wimbledon Common parkrun and  splish-splash-sploshed my way straight through the mud and puddles.  After which I went home, showered, donned 101 layers and then headed off for a walk along the Grand Union Canal to spot Country to Capital running ultra runners.

And a ridiculous number of parkrun tourists.
