Along with my inner sloth, I harbour an inner pit bull. Although the sloth is dominant, the pit bull will occasionally get an idea into its head, and woe betide anyone or anything that tries to stop it.
It was my pit bull that decided to take part in Janathon 2011 and to run every day. It was my pit bull that decided it wanted a parkrun 50 t-shirt by Janathon 2012 and a parkrun 100 t-shirt by Janathon 2013. And it was my pit bull that decided to do the Yorkshire longest parkrun and the Riverside inaugural parkrun, both logistically ridiculous ideas which no rational person would have considered for a moment.
And today, I got an inkling that my pit bull has turned its attention to my training plan. Because even though I have managed to talk myself out of every other run this week, I found myself lacing up my trainers and heading out the door, just because my new training plan told me to.
hope you had a good run pitbull lady 🙂 see you tomorrow night for some fun in Banstead Woods !
ooh i feel a bit scared…
